Roulette Terms Letter B
- BackTrack or Ball Track: The area where the roulette ball spins before finally fixating on a pocket.
- Bet on the Layout: A bet placed anywhere on the numbers part of the table.
- Biased Numbers: When the roulette wheel produces certain numbers more frequently than others, these numbers are called biased numbers. Sometimes they are called Golden Numbers.
- Biased Wheel: A Roulette wheel that has been tampered with. It could be done by someone on the inside, or it could simply be a defect in the Roulette Wheel.
- Black Bet: When the player bets on the color black.
- Block Bet: A bet made on a block of numbers in the same section on a roulette wheel
- Bottom Track: The slopy inner part of the roulette wheel that remains immobile when the roulette wheel spins.
Roulette Terms Letter C
- Call Bets: When a player says his bet out loud before placing the chip on the roulette table.
- Column Bet: Betting on one of the three columns available on the roulette table. It is an outside bet that pays out 2:1.
- Combination Bet: Betting on more than one number.
- Corner Bet: You place a bet on four numbers by putting a chip that covers the corner of each number. If the ball stops at any of these numbers, you win. Payout is 8:1
- Credits: In online casinos, your bankroll is presented as credits.
- Croupier: It is the person who spins the roulette wheel and manages the game.
- Carre: Corner bet in French.
- Chameleon Strategy: A player who is copying the strategies of other roulette players who are having better luck than him on the table.
- Chips: Casinos use chips as money instead of fiat money. Each chip has value, and you use it to bet.
- Check Rack: The tray where the casino chips are kept.
- Cheval: French for Split Bet, where you place your chip on 2 adjacent numbers like 1|2, 2|5, 13|14, 13|16, 25|26.

- Dealer Signature: When the croupiers consistently spin the ball. Players can use this dealer signature to determine where the ball will land according to what area the dealer spins the ball from initially. But this is definitely not the way to predict.
- Devil’s game: Roulette is called the Devil’s game because if you add the numbers 1 to 36, it equals 666, which is the number of the beast according to the Holy Bible.
- Dolly: The item the croupier uses to mark the current winning number on the roulette table.
- Double Zero: The 00 pocket in American Roulette.
- Dozen Bet: There are three different dozens on the roulette wheel; they are outside bets that pay out 2:1.
- Double Up System of Betting: A betting system where you double the amount you stake every time you lose.
Roulette Terminology Letter E
- En Prison: When you are playing French Roulette, and you place an even bet (like a black bet) and the ball lands on zero, you get half of your stake back. You can either keep it on the table for your next bet or take it.
- En Plein: French for Straight-up bets (betting on a single number on the roulette table)
- European Roulette: The original version of the game, which has only the 0 and doesn’t have the double zero pocket.
- European Wheel: The roulette wheel has 0 pockets and doesn’t have the 00 pockets.
- Even Bet: Bets that pay 1:1, like bets on black, red, high, low…

- Five Number Bets: A bet exclusive to American Roulette where you bet on the numbers 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3
- French Bets: Bets that cover specific parts of the roulette wheel. Some of them are Orpheins, Voisons du Zero, tiers du cylindre.

- Golden Numbers: Biased numbers, the numbers that keep winning somehow.
Roulette Terms Letter H
- High/Low Bet: An outside bet where you either place a high bet ( betting that the ball will fall on any of 19-36 or low 1-18)
- House Edge: The marginal profit that the casino takes from a player over time.

- Inside Bet: A bet that a player places on any of the numbers inside the layout. In other words, a wager inside the box surrounding the numbers on the roulette table.

- La Partage: The same as En Prison, But there is one difference you cannot use the stake you got back on the table for the next bet you have to take it.

- Martingale System: A betting system commonly used in Roulette whereby you double your stake whenever you lose in hopes that you will eventually win and cover your losses and make a profit.
- Marker: The item the croupier uses to mark the current winning number on the roulette table. It is the same as the Dolley
- Match Play: When the casino gives you a 100% matchup bonus on your bet. If you bet 10 dollars, the casino will give you 10 dollars over your bet on even bets only.
- Mini Roulette: A small version of the original game offered in the online Roulette casino. The Mini Roulette Wheel consists of 13 numbers only (0-12).

- No Action: When the croupier says no action while the wheel is spinning, all bets are canceled.

- Odd Bet: Betting on an odd number.
- Orphans: The numbers 6, 17, and 34, are next to each other on the wheel, but they are far apart on the layout, and that is why they are called orphans. This term is most common among French Roulette players.
- Orphelins: Same as orphans, they are the numbers that are next to each other on the wheel but far apart on the layout. They are 6, 17. 34 and 1, 20, 14, 31, 9.

- Trio: Same as Street Bet. On a roulette layout, a street is a row consisting of three numbers. If the ball falls on any of those numbers, you win. Payout is 11:1.

- Voisins du Zero: In French, it means, neighbors of Zero. It is a bet on a particular group of numbers on the roulette wheel that are next to the zero pockets.
